Your first step should be taking a thrown hammer and granite hammer with you. If you don’t have one, you cannot kill them. If gargoyles have low hit points of 8 or less, you can kill them with a hammer.

You have plenty of time to think about what to do because drops take two minutes to appear. They are aggressive and perfect monsters for AFK and to make decent GP.
